Tarangire Nature Camp is the perfect introduction to the African safari for families with children. The park's gentle giants — elephants that wander past camp in herds of dozens — captivate young visitors, and the ancient baobab trees spark imaginations in ways that no classroom can match. Our Family Safari Package makes this experience accessible by offering complimentary accommodation for children under 12 sharing a Family Safari Tent with their parents.

The package includes full-board accommodation for two adults and up to two children under 12 in our spacious Tarangire Family Safari Tent, with child-friendly meal options at every sitting. Twice-daily game drives are included, and our guides are experienced at adapting the safari experience for younger guests — pointing out the funny warthogs, the baby elephants learning to use their trunks, and the colourful birds that keep children engaged and excited. Each family receives a children's safari journal and a nature identification kit, turning the holiday into an educational adventure.

Additional family activities include a guided nature walk around the camp perimeter (suitable for children aged 8 and above), a visit to a nearby Maasai boma, and an evening stargazing session with our resident naturalist. The offer applies to stays of two nights or more and is available year-round. Maximum two children per booking. Children aged 12 and above are charged at the standard adult rate.
