Land of Nature Camp - Serengeti
Welcome to Land of Nature Camp in the Heart of the Serengeti
Land of Nature Camp is an intimate, owner-operated safari camp located in the Central Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich areas on the African continent. Positioned near the renowned Seronera Valley, our camp places you at the epicentre of year-round game viewing in Tanzania's most celebrated national park. The Serengeti ecosystem spans roughly 30,000 square kilometres and supports the largest terrestrial mammal migration on Earth, and our camp gives you privileged access to this extraordinary spectacle.
The camp is situated in the Central Serengeti, close to the Seronera River and its surrounding kopjes — ancient granite outcrops that serve as lookout points for leopards and resting spots for lion prides. The Central Serengeti is widely regarded as the single best area for year-round wildlife viewing because it sits at the crossroads of the Great Migration's circular route. During the dry season from June to October, the herds pass through on their way to the northern Serengeti and the Maasai Mara, while from December to March, the southern plains come alive with the calving season. No matter when you visit, the Central Serengeti delivers exceptional encounters with the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros.
From the moment you arrive, the Serengeti envelops you. The camp is deliberately small, hosting a limited number of guests at any one time, so every game drive, every meal, and every evening around the campfire feels personal. Dawn breaks over an uninterrupted horizon, and the first sounds you hear are the calls of fiscal shrikes and the distant whooping of hyenas returning from a night hunt. Our experienced Tanzanian guides — many of whom grew up in communities bordering the Serengeti — lead twice-daily game drives in open-sided 4x4 vehicles, tracking predators across the golden grasslands and navigating the acacia-dotted plains where cheetahs scan for prey.
The Central Serengeti is one of the few places in Africa where all members of the Big Five can be seen in a single day. The Seronera Valley is famous for its resident leopard population, and our guides know the favourite trees and rocky outcrops where these elusive cats rest. Lion prides patrol the open plains, and during the migration months, the spectacle of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra crossing the landscape is nothing short of breathtaking. The Serengeti also supports large populations of elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, spotted hyena, African wild dog, and over 500 bird species, from the imposing Secretary Bird striding through the grass to the iridescent Superb Starling flashing between thorn bushes.
Our safari tents are spacious, walk-in canvas structures raised on wooden platforms, designed to blend into the surrounding bush while providing genuine comfort. Each tent features a proper bed with quality linen, an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet and safari-style hot shower, solar-powered lighting, and a private veranda where you can watch the plains come alive at dawn. The design philosophy is simple: remove the barriers between you and the wilderness without sacrificing the rest you need after a full day of safari.
Meals at Land of Nature Camp are served in our open-air dining area overlooking the savannah. Our kitchen team prepares a blend of Tanzanian and international cuisine using fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers and our own camp garden. Breakfast is served before the morning game drive and includes freshly baked bread, tropical fruit, eggs prepared to your liking, and Tanzanian coffee. Lunch is a relaxed affair — often a bush picnic under an acacia tree during a full-day safari — and dinner is a three-course affair enjoyed by lantern light as the sounds of the nocturnal Serengeti fill the air.
The camp is accessible by light aircraft from Arusha, with daily scheduled flights landing at the Seronera Airstrip, approximately a 20-minute game drive from our camp. Alternatively, a scenic road transfer from Arusha takes approximately eight hours through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the stunning Great Rift Valley escarpment and descending into the Serengeti plains — a journey that is itself a highlight of any Tanzania safari. Our team will arrange all logistics from the moment you land in Tanzania.

“My sixth Serengeti trip but first at this camp. Guide Baraka predicted a cheetah hunt from gazelle behaviour — the cheetah appeared ten minutes later. Outstanding predator densities near Seronera. No pretension, just exc...”
“Four nights during migration season — on our first morning drive we watched a leopard in a sausage tree near Seronera for twenty minutes. Intimate camp, exceptional bush breakfasts. Already planning our return.”
